Twas a Glorious Day!

Pirates of Port DaVinci

The port is desolate now, save for the occasional nerf dart or tennis ball hiding in the brush. The wharf is gone, packed neatly away in a forest clearing. It’s quiet, so incredibly quiet. And yet, if you listen closely, you can still hear the shouting of the crews as they fire their cannons at each other’s ships. You can still hear the joyous music wafting through the town and out onto the docks. You can still hear the laughter as pirates recount their tales of adventure over their mugs of “ale.”

LARP may be over, but the memories made are far from gone.

A write up of the LARP will come soon, but since I am only human and couldn’t be everywhere, I would be most grateful if you could type up some of your favorite memories and send them to me at [email protected]. They don’t have to be long or even creatively written, just enough to describe what happened. (Although if you’d like to write up a dramatic retelling of one of your adventures, it will be added to a story collection shared at a later date)

If you need help for your memory, behold! The photos from the day, captured by my sister, The Artist!

Let me know if you have trouble accessing the photos and for the sake of privacy, please DO NOT post these pictures on any social media if you do not have permission from everyone in the photo.

Lost and found: We have some various items such as a few guns, a TON of off brand nerf darts, along with sundry other neat looking items. If you are missing a prop, please email me and we’ll set it aside for you. Also, I am missing a short foam dagger, black wrapped hilt and bronze cross guard. Finally, the coins were somewhat expensive, so if you accidently took some home, please remember to bring them back to next LARP.

Which brings me to this: Will there be another pirate LARP? You bet your boots there will be! There is not a current date set, but we’re looking at mid fall as a possibility. Keep your spyglass peeled for more info to come!

Finally a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to my wonderful NPCs, those who helped set up for the LARP, and most importantly, the Sweet Rayne homestead for hosting us. And thank you to all you wonderful people for coming and making this world come alive, truly.

Until next time,

-Jorrok
