I’ve continued studying other LARPs. I’m sure they are all fun, but the ones where the pictures look like they are having fun is when the clothes/costumes match the time period. We did a great job last year of taking it to the next level. Let’s take it up another notch this year. Stryder (whom I have had to dress in the past as if he were my child) has really got on board. Check out his new outfit – all leather and mostly handmade!
Whether you are playing, spectating, or assisting, please give some thought to your costume. At a minimum, wear natural colors – brown, tan, black, green. As a maximum – well, anything from Princess Bride, or the Hobbit/LOTR movies is totally awesome.
Here are pictures to give you some costume ideas. Some of these are simple, some complex, all worthy of a huzzah! (There are many other great costumes we have seen, far more than I could add to this one post.)
Extraordinary!!!
That’s so cool!!!! Mr. Glaze, your costume is awesome. I can’t wait to see it next LARP! LET THE LARP YEAR BEGIN!!!!!! XD
There are MANY other good costumes, so please don’t feel slighted if you’re not shown here. We just wanted to show a variety of warrior/princess, complex/simple to get folks thinking. Please go to the Gallery page to see lots more wonderful costumes.
You missed out on a pun though, you could have said “Every girl’s crazy ’bout a LARP dressed man.”
Just sayin
We will make this improvement to the title today. Good catch!
Yessssss
*sighs at lack of leatherworking tools*
I’m prepared as far as costume, thankfully. I totally don’t wear it around the house.
That would be utterly ridiculous.
When I made my first leather bracer, I wore it for 3 days straight!
