To Sheriff Williams And To All Who Fear For Falton:
It has been my honor and pleasure to live here in Falton all these years since my unfortunate banishment from my homeland of Scotland. Falton has been a second home to me, so it is with sadness that I see the same kind of fear descend upon Falton as befell my country when it was assailed by Edward the Hand of Scissors, a man of shear cruelty.
As I expected, the rule of that cruel pagan has recently been cut short and the reach of his influence has been snipped back to well outside of Scotland’s borders! I miss my home terribly and would love to return, but my love for Falton and it’s people constrains me to remain, and gladly so.
I received your message of concern, and I assure you, we are of one mind in regards to the need for a change in our land that would bring an end to the stench of Roam that permeates our countryside. No longer should Falton be ruled by a man with the offensive title of “Imperator,” no matter the kindness of his visage. I have long been certain that his smile belies a cold, cruel heart.
Fear not, Williams. I have a cousin, whose name is also William, who oft reminds me that every man dies, not every man really lives. We need not fear the Roamans! It is the these Roamans who have forgotten the hard lesson learned by their old king Haydryan who once sent vast armies to conquer my people and failed, leaving him to meekly build a wall for the purposes of protecting Roam FROM SCOTLAND!
Perhaps this story of Scotland’s triumph is of little value to you, as Falton has so few Scots in its midst, but I say that you should rest easy, for the now. I would say more, but as you noted, there are eyes and ears everywhere, and I am busy all the same writing a letter to my cousins back home. They fought long and hard to win the war against Edward the Hand of Scissors, but rumor is that they grow restless with no enemy to fight.
Like my kin, I am restless as well. But I have an enemy.
Your brother in the quest for freedom,
Quest Sean Mark
Ohhhh watch out Roam, here come the Scots! You ‘going down!
Haydryan’s (and Hadrian’s) Wall: protecting a mighty empire from a bunch of fanatical, skirt-wearing barbarians 😉 This is so good! Can’t wait!
!?! The game has just been upped!
