May 18th is about a day in the life of a Jamaican Island in the 1800’s. We have four Pirate crews and that’s probably enough. The Captains of these crews are UL, NG, BS, CA. We are in touch with these Captains concerning their responsibilities.
What we need now are dock hands, fishermen, merchants, travelers, bounty hunters, sailors for hire, pirates who are stuck on land and looking to join a crew and especially CARPENTERS AND SURGEONS. Please send your bio to [email protected] ASAP and you’ll be woven into the story — especially if you are playing a carpenter or surgeon.
What about this hurricane? Good question!
Port Falton is a glowing symbol of the great qualities that the British Empire can exert on its colonial constituents. It’s squeaky clean, produces good trade, and happens to be the glimmering jewel of the British West Indies.
That is, so Britain THINKS. In fact, Port Falton is home to a bustling pirate trade of black market and stolen goods. The Governor keeps the island looking shiny, while the pirates conduct business and pay dues to keep the Governor on their side. They even like to call the Port by another name- Port Judas! For when you’re in Port Judas, betrayal and treachery are never far behind, and you never get just what you’d expect.
The Governor facilitates a great deal of trade for Port Falton and is an ally to many of the pirates. He enjoys the wealth that his station and his allegiance with Britain, the town, and the pirates provide. He gives tips on the locations of larger shipments of goods to his favorite crews. He gives tips on wreckage available for salvage and on treasures that may be available for the locals for the digging. As far as the Crown knows, however, he is an honest man who has reportedly eradicated all piracy on his little island.
About he hurricane please… Yes, a terrible hurricane has recently struck the West Indies, and the Governor’s many pirate allies are all in Port Falton for restocking and for repairs. But for reasons that will come clear on the 18th, it will become imperative that ALL pirates vacate Port Falton at high tide on the next morning. But before they leave, all crews need to settle their debts. Some debts are financially based, others are grudge based…
Our story on the 18th will pick up right after the Governor has met with a member of each Pirate crew and outlined their debts and goals which must be completed/paid-off before they can vacate the island. [Additionally, every person not on a pirate crew who submits a bio will be given supporting information and objectives of their own as the tapestry of the story is fully woven.]
Submit your bio NOW for inclusion in the story ([email protected]). See you on the 18th for a stunning day of improv, outdoor theatre (AKA LARP).
