That Was Different
Unlike most LARPs, I’ve not been reliving a single event from Saturday; I’ve instead been reflecting on the day as a whole. I imagine it is much like I would reflect on a real visit to a real port on a real island of yesteryear. Sure, there was a big battle, and the British did a great job of pounding the port with their cannons, and invading the town, but that didn’t define the day. …
Last minute details for your arrival in Port Judas
Yes, even though the weather is supposed to be uncharacteristically delightful, we are still going to hold LARP! We have everything you’d have on the island coast, including swarms of mosquitoes. Bring bug spray! And bring sun screen. See you at 2:00 at the latest, though you are welcome any time. Billy Bones – Wharf Master
Plunder Awaits!
The day of Pirate LARP draws near! There is only one thing on many pirates’ minds: Treasure! Rumors abound of many treasures hidden away near the bay of Port Falton. The clever and adventurous among you may wish to set out to find these treasures, because no one can ever have enough loot! However, the local talk is that a deadly curse will befall anyone who seizes a hidden treasure without having it’s accompanying map. Local superstition, maybe, but why take the risk? …
Tell me ’bout the fights…
Battles are not the emphasis of the day, but yep, there will be some fighting. Here are the rules: HITS: Each limb will have 1 Hit Point (HP) while the chest/back will have 2 HP. A hurricane?!?
May 18th is about a day in the life of a Jamaican Island in the 1800’s. We have four Pirate crews and that’s probably enough. The Captains of these crews are UL, NG, BS, CA. We are in touch with these Captains concerning their responsibilities. What we need now are dock hands, fishermen, merchants, travelers, bounty hunters, sailors for hire, pirates who are stuck on land and looking to join a crew and especially CARPENTERS …
While you were…
While you were playing in Wyoming, and Florida, and with finals, Jorrok and I built a bridge between Port Falton and the Wharf. May 18th is going to be a day to remember! Stryder
Ready, Aim, Fire!
On the eve before his surgery, Mac Barclay finished 5 functional cannons. They shoot a tennis ball over 60 feet! (Notice the 4-legged ball retrieval system at Mac’s right.) Well done Mac! Stryder
