Come, Please Join Us In 2017

adventure-3Since you are asking for LARP gear this Christmas (right!?!), we thought you’d like to know when you’ll get to use all your new goodies, so here’s the plan for next year…

We’ll have two of the normal LARP’s, and two “Falton Festivals”.

What, you ask, is a Falton Festival?  Why it is only the greatest shindig this side of the Misty Mountains!  It will share many similarities with the LARP town festivals that we enjoy when the bagpipe sounds:

  • Everyone will wear LARP attire
  • We’ll compete in combat tournaments
  • Throw knives
  • Shoot bow and arrows
  • Enjoy stage presentations
  • Enjoy Celtic dances
  • Eat campfire food
  • And just have a LOT of fun.
  • Then we’ll go inside and look at pictures and watch a movie.

Then how, you ask, is a Falton Festival different from a LARP?  The Falton Festival won’t include all the stuff that takes so many people so much time to prepare and clean up.  There will be no market, no quests, no treasure hunts, no storyline.  We’ll save all these elements for the two, normal, full-blown, knock-your-kilt-off LARPs!

So please mark your calendars and plan to join us on:

  • March 18, 2017 — Falton Festival
  • May 6, 2017 — LARP
  • August 5, 2017 — Falton Festival
  • October 14 — LARP (For this one you are welcome to bring a tent and spend the night and enjoy Fairy Village)

The times for each will be announced, but generally they will start in the early afternoon and run for several hours outside, and then several hours inside.

Looking forward to another year of fun with you!

Stryder and Captain John Sterling Beauregard

  1. You know, one of the Watch members was just saying how it would be really cool for Falton to have a proper, scheduled tournament like they had in Araluen, before Morgarath tried to take over*. Some proper tournamenting is just what Falton needs, methinks! See you in the Spring!

*See Ranger’s Apprentice: Tournament at Gorlan for more details

    • We’d be glad to have the help of one of the Watch members in planning the tournaments, since it sounds like they know what a proper tournament is supposed to be like!
