Ever have so much happening that when it was over, you wonder what happened? That was the August Falton Festival.
There was much revelry as the clans of olde returned to Falton to celebrate liberation. Represented were the Wolves, Ducks, Boars, and Eagles. Forts were established, fires were started, flags were stolen, resources acquired, fires extinguished, and opponents were skewered. May we of Falton never lose our “edge” as a fierce land of honorable warriors.
After the “battle”, the clans competed for bragging rights by dancing, caber tossing, fighting for resources, the wellington toss, roasting marshmallows, writing their stories in poem, and by spinning tall tales. Many Shillings were awarded, and The Jester’s Closet opened late in the day so town’s folk could turn their hard won shillings into proper goods of high quality and craftsmanship.
May peace be upon the land – till next time…
